I love, love, love Palak Paneer. And have even had it as made by hitchhiker (at my special request). SO YUMMY!!! It's one of the best things one can do with paneer, IMO.

I bought it because I cook somewhat sproadically, and go in and out of particular Food Moods, so I like using ingredients that won't spoil. It finally hit me the other day. Why have I never ran into Pear Pie??! I love pears, very much so, and it suddenly deeply disturbed me that I'd never ever seen a Pear Pie. Why not??

I'm mostly a non-cook, and I'm inordinately fond of ramen. So, I've developed the simple recipe below rather precisely to my taste over the years. It makes a hearty and yummy ramen meal. And it uses only non-perishables -- the canned chicken and corn means you can store the stuff you need and it won't go bad. :)
