I was bouncing around looking for websites to 'splain to me what's up with this li'l election we're having today. I happened upon
yesterday's LAist post entitled
A Guide to Voter Guides: The May 19th Election. Ahhhh, that helps!!
Looking through their list of Voter Guides, I found the promising-sounding
Young Progressive Majority, who offers "
an extensive easy-to-read guide to the six propositions, City Attorney, Council District 5, State Senate 26 and Community College District seats 2 and 6.". Here's a
direct link to their PDF for this election.
My current leanings are: 1A-1E NO, 1F YES, LACCD2 Angela Reddock, LACCD6 Nancy Pearlman (whom I met personally at the big anti-Prop-8 rally & march at LA City Hall). I'm a bit waffly about 1C, if anyone wants to convince me before 10am or so.
(I don't get to vote for City Attorney, Council District 5, or State Senate 26.)
