This past weekend I went to visit Len in the U.P. I hadn't been there since the middle of September. He took me on a lunch/movie date. He's so sweet and good to me. We went to Red Lobster in Marquette. While we were waiting for our seat I was looking at the tank of live lobsters they have in the lobby because I found them to be entertaining. Len came up to me and said "So which one is going to die tonight?" I in turn gave him a look of shock as I asked "What?! What do you mean which one is going to die tonight?"

Len said they're the lobsters people pick out before they get eaten. The hostess overheard us and said "Yeah that's what they're for." This of course never occurred to me that's what they would be there for. I realize that's what live lobsters at the super market are for but not the ones at Red Lobster apparently. Len got a good laugh out of the whole thing because he said the look I gave him was pretty funny. He said I looked upset. I told him they might as well put a sign up above the tank calling them "death row lobsters."

Before going to see the movie we went over to Presque Isle Park again to walk around the black rocks. Len kindly let me work my girlfriend charms and talk him into letting me get new pictures of him and us with my camera and new cell phone! The weather was beautiful and it was neat to see Lake Superior again.

We ended up going to see the movie "The Game Plan." It was pretty funny and one of the better movies I've seen for a while. After the movie we went back to Len's house and hung out there the rest of the day until I went back to the hotel. Sunday we went to church which was pretty good and went to Len's house. I was there until 8 p.m. and didn't get home until 1 a.m. Yeah, I know I'm nuts but I hadn't seen him in a month so I wanted to stay there as long as I could.

This weekend Len is working so I'm going to stay home. I hope I can see him in a week and that he can come down. Though, now that he's starting to volunteer at an elementary school in his area, our visits will probably be limited to once a month because he's going to be busy. While I selfishly want to see him more, I praise God he has this opportunity. He's so good with children and it will be good for him to get out and use his gifts. After Jan. 1 he'll be teaching aerodynamics to kids after school.

I don't have any major plans for this weekend. All I know for sure is that I'm going to do laundry and help out with senior high youth group on Sunday night. Jessica Y. might hang out with me on Saturday and that's about it.

Work has been going well overall. I've been busy and trying to stay caught up. Monday and Tuesday I had to fill in for our lifestyles editor because she's on vacation this week. Her stuff consumed the whole day so I wasn't able to get much done with my own stuff. We had some scary weather around here last night. There were some bad storms that passed through the area and several sightings of funnel clouds. Before I left work, there were reports on the scanner that a house had been damaged by a tornado but no injuries were reported. I prayed that none would touch down here. I stayed up until 1 a.m. because the tornado watch had been effect until midnight and I was afraid to go to bed.

Well that's about all  I have for now. Take care peeps!
