Happy Birthday, MOM!

Jun 22, 2008 00:39

as i type this, it is my Mom's birthday. YAY!!
but technically, the day (saturday) isn't over and sunday hasn't begun till i go to bed. LOL

breakfast of french toast together in the bk nook. showers were taken and the 4 of us piled into sis's element to go to WalMart so my Dad could buy her new tires for her car.
we wandered WalMart till it was ready, then drove over to the Hair Cuttery, where sis got 5" trimmed off.
- i actually had my hair cut and my eyebrows waxed on friday. my neck feels cooler and i am hoping the minus 10 pounds of hair (*giggle*) will reduce the amount of times my neck will be sore.

tires bought, hair cut, we then went to the mall that sis and i used to work at (when she was at Apple and i was at Mimi's). the 4 of us had lunch at J.P. Wang's (P.F. Chang's). afterward, my Dad went to the Barnes and Noble to kill time while sis, Mom and i went to Apple to see if any of Lisa's friends still worked there.
- i saw Eric and Chris.

our last stop was Jo Anne's again (a different one than the one we went to on Friday) to use more 50% off coupons.
... i was stuck staring at the Wilton cake decorating aisle... but the only thing i bought was a double ended pastry tip cleaning brush. one end looked like a teeny BBQ basting brush, and the other looked like a mascara brush.

when we got home, we had 1/2 hour to look at all our prizes, and put the last-minute groceries away before Mom and i started dinner.
it wasn't even 6 whn she said, "why don't you call William and tell him to come now?"

i grabbed my phone and walked out the front door to make the phone call, and Will pulled up outside the house.

i am thinking it is quite possibly my raging hormones, afterall, that makes me dislike him and want to trade him in, when i do. cos when i am not all PMS-y, he's FINE.
... makes me mad.

anyway, he was all smooth shaven, wearing khaki cargo pants and a matching color dress shirt... wearing his glasses... hair kinda spikey.

had my Dad not been sitting outside, smoking his cigarette then, i probably would have slammed Will against my parents car and tried banging him right there in the driveway!

we had a nice dinner. he ate 2 plates and we didn't run out of food, like my mom thought we would. we actually had enough leftover to make another plate.

comraderie was nice. we all talked. it made me happy.

afterwards, sis went back to her W.O.W. dungeon buddies, my Dad took a nap on the couch, Will went into my room and hooked up the PS2 and the Game Cube AND the DVD/VCR thingies for me.
-- i had unplugged EVERYTHING and rearranged my room about a week ago, and forgot to label all the cords before doing so.

me and my mom cleaned the table off, filled and ran the dishwasher, and did the pots and pans by hand.

all (but my Dad) of us were going to go see "the Happening", but sis backed out because she had suffered apparent "exposure" from the sunlight and fresh air we had her in all day that she decided to stay behind and play her game.

shocker, i know.

my Mom decided she wasn't sure she wanted to see it,because though she liked the "6th Sense" and "the Village", she didn't like "Signs", "Unbreakable" or "Lady in the Water".

my Dad doesn't go to movies in public cos you can't smoke in the theaters...

so Will and i went.
but we went to the theater here, near my house.
and concluded that the ONLY good time to ever go there is during the day when school is in session.

we had a pack of black kids sitting behind us that were VERY disruptive. Will went to get the manager and i spoke to them twice. no results, so we stormed out and i demanded my money back, when the manager just wanted to give me a rain check.

i said, "absolutely not. no rain check. give me my $16 back right now."

so we went back to my house and watched most of "The Day After Tomorrow" with the family.

we also had cake. my Mom wanted to cut her birthday cake while Will was with us, so we did.

to end the post, here are some pics we have:

i like this one a lot, cos it's just coincidence that they have their hands under their chins

this one is another good one, but for comic value. sis was sick of pictures at this point (we took about 8) and she just wanted to get to the cake eating so that she could go back to her game.
