-Went to a party where I didn't know anyone but my ride. My ride disappeared with her boyfriend as soon as we walked in the door. (Fortunately for me the guy bothering me there WAS able to take a hint)
-At work, when the person in question is a customer. (One of the men I had problems with repeatedly came to my job and pretended to shop.)
-In class with the person, assigned seating, and needing to take the same routes between classes.
-In a co-ed dorm right next door to the person in question, when your roommates and his are friends, and your roommates frequently leave the door unlocked so their friends can wander in at will.
That was really why I made my post, to be honest--because we're not always in a position to say goodbye and leave the situation. I just want people to be aware and prepared to help others when they're in that situation, because sometimes, they don't have the power to get out of it without creating more danger for themselves.
