'Congratulations! Your place at London School of Economics and Political Science (University of London) (L72) to study Geography with Economics (L7L1) has been confirmed.'
Possibly the most important words i will read in the next 3 years of my life, i received yesterday. Results days are stressful times, thank god this one is over!
I got 3 As (Maths, Geography and Economics) so i'm pretty over the moon. They weren't amazingly high As, and there were some papers that i expected to do better in, but all that aside, i got what i needed and more for my first choice university, so by the end of September, I will officially be a first year at the LSE.
My friends have pretty much all been as successful. Only 3 or so close friends didn't get the grades they needed for their first choice universities, but some places will take you on regardless, so fingers crossed for them. Pretty much everyone i know got 3 As- but this isn't an indication that A-levels are getting easier, whatever the press may say. I'm just friends with a lot of smart people!
I've now got a month and a half to get ready to leave home for the first time ever- it's not all that dramatic, i'm only going to be around 45 minutes away from home, but i DO get to live out (despite the fact that it is going to financially cripple me) and i plan on making the best of my year!
Right now, i'm off to a post-results party. once again, SO GLAD that this stress is over and i can finally make plans!
