About that knitting thing... If you take raw wool it shreds. Nothing binds the fibers together. So if you spin it into a thread, the twisting of fibers makes them cling. Ply that twisted thread with another 2 or 3 just like it and the additional twisting gives it even more cohesion. This goes for all fibers but wool in particular has scales or ( Read more... )

That's what I call this knitting project. I completed it while watching the DVDs of Farscape. Intense senssions of 4-6 episodes and bonus material at a time. I love that show.

I love my new sweater. I'll be wearing it at Radcon in two weeks.

The sweater is done! Dark teal background doens't show real well in the pics but it is nice. Very heavy wool makes it warm, warm, warm. Should have had it last week when the temps didn't get above freezing for almost 10 days!
