We've been having a mini heat wave and I don't like it. Not one little bit. BBE and I skipped Yoga Tuesday night when the temps hit 97 at our house over 100 in Portland. The humidity was only about 20% so it wasn't as bad as it could be. The morning started at 52' at 7AM so the house remained cool ( Read more... )

We are generally a few degrees cooler but not much and in this heat not enough. Only advantage is lots of shade and there is almost always a breeze. The Salmon, Sandy, and Zig Zag River canyons create their own weather. I'm surrounded by all three and 4000' peaks on 3 1/2 sides of me. We generally cool off at night better than Portland.

the blessing is the house. Manufactured housing is very well insulated. It holds the cold and the heat depending on the season.
