Concerning Myspace Surveys

Sep 02, 2008 13:28

In the beginning there was Tom and Tom said, "LET THERE BE MYSPACE!" and so there was. And on the third day he invented the "Survey" and since then I don't know where any of the other surveys have come from. Is it like in Gremlins where you add water and they spring a thousand more, each one rummaging around the internet to create havoc and general mindless distraction? Is there a small team of high school girls locked in a room from which they cannot escape, every hour spent making new surveys until one of the girls grows hair long enough to scale out of the window or alternately some sort of deformed midget storms into their room and demands that they guess his name? Or is it far darker? Are myspace surveys the digital ghosts of old friends? You know how everyone has that friend that they haven't seen in a long time but they manage to resurface on myspace with more friends than they ever had in public? Do you think those people died and their soul now haunts the world wide web, and they're dying concerns over what your most recent text message was now plagues the information super highway like a poltergeist?

My point being that I'm bored and in no mood to make fun of a survey while hypocritically filling out a survey.
