Thinking I'll definitely get the iPhone when the next one arrives this summer. Really loved the Palm Pixi, it was totally what I wanted after decided I wanted "less" of a phone. Thought I'd be working in one place, didn't have a shifting daily schedule, didn't have clients I had to constantly email throughout the day, etc.
When I had a Blackberry that phone was everything and more...only it was kind of thick. When I was wearing jeans and put it in my front pocket it was just all tight, when I was wearing sweats it'd be all swinging around when I walked, etc.
But, with this new practice, I'm on gottdamn email as much as before, my schedule is still pretty complicated with 2 kids and a wife who works part time, and Epocrates is going to STOP working for friggin WebOS in June11. Like I don't rely on Epocrates daily. So my phone needs to step up a bit.
I thought the iPhone would be pretty tough to type on (I prefer a physical keyboard) but my wife has a little iPod Touch and it's actually way easy to type on. No big deal. So I think I'm sold.
I'll tell you what pisses me off though. People who diss the iPhone just because it's so popular. No shit, there's this one FB "friend" of mine who actually was a real friend a long time ago who is like this.
One time he said something like:
"The iPhone is so popular because all people are dumb and insecure and do not want to admit that they bought an inferior product so they tell others how much they like it. And people are sheep who can't think for themselves so they they fall for it and buy more iPhones."
Paraphrasing. So he's anti-iPhone obviously. But it's kind of lame why he is. And does anyone really go through life thinking every other single person in the world is dumber than they are??? Because I believe THAT way of thinking is both misguided and dangerous....kind of dumb in and of itself. It's really easy to make bad judgements when you think you're more intelligent than anyone else you meet.
Anyway, I'm excited to get that new phone thing when it comes out, yeah. Basically.
