there's an imaginary cottage i want to move into...

i think about the cottage all the time. it's mostly in new england. sometimes it's in the pacific northwest. i see trees and a stream nearby. if it were in new england, there would be a lake instead of a stream. most of the floors are wood, but there is some ceramic. the living room always smells like coffee. the kitchen smells like fish and garlic during the fall. there are half drunk bottles of spanish and chilean red wines here and there. in the den you'll find a library full of books i've never read. sometimes i'll pick out a random book, smell it and then put it back.

it's lonely in the imaginary cottage sometimes.
