I think Captain Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager said it best...
"Time travel. From my first day on the job as captain I promised myself I'd never let myself get caught up in one of these God-forsaken paradoxes. The future's the past, the past is the future. It all gives me a headache."
Lost definitely makes my brain hurt from week to week. Trying to wrap my intelligence around their constant time travel and numerous characters is a challenge, yet I refuse to give up it. The show is like a curse now, but I haven't learned to get out of it's way. ;)
Do we kill Ben, don't we kill Ben? If we kill Ben will we still be here? My favorite moment was when Miles and Hurley were discussing this time conundrum and Hurley stumped him! I actually yelled at my TV, "Ha! He got you there!". LOL!
I still have no idea where the show is headed and my fear is that it will come to the end and we'll all be going, "What the hell???" On the other hand, my other theory is that this is all young Ben's little miniature play world he's got set up on a table somewhere and none of these people are real, but action figures and we've been seeing this all play out in his vivid imagination. Ha! Wouldn't that be a trip?
Speaking of trips...there's the series finale of Life On Mars. *sniffle*
Though I can't cry too much, because it did indeed have a satisfying ending after all. At first I was worried they'd never get there, but in the wacky ending everything was explained....and it was wonderful. I totally didn't see the ending coming, but it worked perfectly. We even got Sam and Annie kissing! Yay! *iz happy* As if the whole "Sam's an astronaut in the future" wasn't enough of a thrill....Gene is Sam's dad! Whoah! That was all kinds of awesome.
I hate to see a great show go and I'll miss what stories they would have told, but 3 cheers to the production for hastily pulling off this finale! Amazing. They only had a few episodes to get us there and they did. At least this was one time travel adventure I enjoyed.
