As one of my attendant's gifts for my best friend's wedding, she gave me a Worst Case Scenario Handbook daily calendar. I'm... not sure what this says about me, but whatever. *g*
Anyway, it has all kinds of stuff in it, and one of the features is "Today's Hero." On certain days, it gives someone and their birthday and why they're important in terms of Worst Case Scenario-ness.
This is what it says today:
This day in 1950 saw the birth of Richard Dean Anderson, who portrayed television's ultimate escape hero, MacGyver. The show of the same name premiered on prime-time ABC in 1985 and ran for seven seasons, inspiring tinkerers everywhere to ponder what explosives might be made from a coffee can and some string.
It made me think of certain people on my f'list as soon as I saw it. Y'all know who you are...
