Two posts in one day!

I finally had a chance to watch last week's episode, and I've come to a conclusion.

I'm so done.

None of these people deserve to be Top Chef. Last season I loved Harold and Lee Anne, and I was so happy when Harold won. He was a fantastic chef, and he seemed like such a great guy, too, y'know?

From the beginning of this season, I've been watching half-heartedly, because there wasn't a single chef I was rooting for. I liked Cliff in the beginning, but as time went by, it became clear to me that there was something up with him. He's not nearly as two-faced as Betty, but that calm demeanor is hiding some serious issues, as proven by this last episode.

As much as I disliked Stephen and Tiffani last season, their behavior didn't approach Elia's, Ilan's, and Sam's, and it wasn't even on the same planet as Cliff's.

That was assault, plain and simple. It wasn't hazing -- there was no initiation factor in it. It wasn't a prank -- pranks are played on your friends. Cliff is a big guy who has shown signs of open aggression towards Marcel all season long, and he woke the guy up from a sound sleep and then pinned him down to the carpet before holding him off the ground by his neck. There's nothing funny about it. It's assault, and he's lucky Marcel wasn't injured, and he's doubly lucky he didn't get his ass sued off.

And the rest of them sat there. I'm not saying they're nearly as much to blame as Cliff, but I think it would have only taken one "Hey, stop, it's not funny anymore," to get Cliff to knock it off. Instead, Elia ignored it, Sam sat, watched, and smiled, and Ilan filmed it. They made me feel sorry for Marcel! That takes doing, believe me. I didn't want to like the little punk, but nothing he could have done -- and certainly nothing we've seen him do -- deserves that kind of humiliation.

So, yeah, I'm done. As far as I'm concerned, the competition is over, and nobody wins. In fact, between this and Jeffrey winning PR3, I think I'm done with Bravo's reality shows. I started watching them because they seemed a cut above the rest of the reality dreck, but unfortunately, it took assault and battery to prove me wrong.

Wow, guess I should change the subject line to two rants in one day. Hopefully, I'll be less cranky tomorrow!
