My grandfather is in the hospital. Cardiac Care Unit to be precise. He's been battling cancer for three years now -- he's had eleven surgeries in that time. He's never had problems with his heart before, though.

His last surgery was several weeks ago, and it supposedly went really well, but they did a lot of internal work on him, and he's in a lot of pain, so he's not really eating. He had a doctor's appointment yesterday, and they sent him straight from the doctor's office to the ER.

His kidneys are failing, and they think he may have had a small heart attack yesterday. His blood pressure is really low; they have his feet elevated to keep blood to his brain. When we left last night, it was at 88/59, but it had been as low 60/40. They said this morning that it's gone up a little.

He's been a fighter the whole time he's been sick, but I think he's starting to give up. I'm afraid for him.

Did I mention my other grandfather died on Easter Sunday?
