not prime time exchange letter 2013

Well hello there! Im so happy you're going to be writing for me and I know I'll love whatever you write for me. I want you to enjoy what you write, so I hope I'm flexible enough here that you can find some space for your own fun.

Things I Love
- badass female characters that are complex, interesting, confident and awesome. They dont need to be action heroes, badassery comes in all shapes and sizes and forms. Like Zoe Hart from Hart of Dixie is a badass even though she's not an action hero lol.
- female characer based friendships: I love when any of the women in a fandom enjoy hanging out together and have close knit friendships. We so rarely see it in canon, so I love reading it in fic. They can be having adventures together or just hanging out for a movie night. There can be conflict and disagreement (cause thats real life) but BFFs are my fic crack.
- strong awesome men who love strong awesome women: Because I love strong women, I love the male characters that love them for it. Strong, confident wonderful men who aren't threatened by the power of their female friends/lovers. Like any of the men on Star Trek Voyager.
- GENRES n stuff: I love character studies, AR/AUs, five-time fics, smut, gen (love gen), h/c, angst, HAPPY ENDINGS. I'm a sucker for happy endings.
- oh and humour, I love laughing. I love crack fic too if you're feeling thats a direction you want to go. Also, any rating is fine - from fluff all the way to hard core porn.

Squicks
- noncon, incest, self harm, super dark fics, bestiality, infidelity, misogyny/homophobia (unless its of relevant context to the story, thats fine then), character basing, breathplay, bodily fluids not normally associated with sex being used in a sexual way, mpreg (unless its an alien species or something, then thats fine), babyfic,

STAR TREK VOYAGER (any character)
I just adore this fandom so damn much; its like #2 on my all time fandom list. I love so many things about Voyager and I'm pretty easy to please. I love character studies, AR/AU, gen, casefic, smut, etc. As long as the characters are in character and my squicks are avoided, I'm a happy camper.

Ships: Janeway/Chakotay, Belanna/Tom, Seven of Nine/Kes. Feel free to do anything with any of these pairings (and feel free to ignore C/7 completely - no Seven bashing). I love smoompy falling in love stories but also more subtle-been-together-for-ever stuff. I love angst, h/c, aliens-made-them-do-it (and other ridiculous tropes of the like), smut, UST, and humour. And I love a happy ending.

Gen: I ADORE genfic for this fandom. One of my favourite things is the too-brief snippets we get of the crew just hanging out and enjoying each other's company. My headcanon is that Belanna + Janeway are besties. So literally any gen about this series would be awesome. Casefic included - I'd love to read a 'missing episode' style story.

I'm also great with post-Endgame, during series, and stuff before the show, so whatever you're feeling.

THOR (Sif, Loki, Darcy, Jane, Thor, haha any really)
Sif/Loki is my OTP for the Avengersverse. I ship it so so hard, so if you give me something of them I'll love you forever. I love how they are kinda wrong for each other, yet actually really work. I love how she should have wanted to be with Thor, should really have married him, but instead her and Thor have this sibling relationship and she's with the *other* brother - the odd one, the one not meant to be King. And how Loki, this weirdo finds himself with the war goddess who isn't afraid of him and pushes him, challenges him. I'm cool if you want to write a pre-movie story, but I'm so down for a post-avengers loki-has-come-home-in-chains type thing.

Alternately, I'm totally into genfic for this fandom. The relationships between the women is something I'm rather attached to, the friendship between Darcy + Jane (pre and post movie) and how it'll shift as they get roped into Aasgard/Avengers life. Feel free to add in any of the other women from the movie universe tooo - like Natasha; her and Sif would be awesome together eh.

Other alternatively, I think the relationship between Thor and Loki is fantastic; so messed up and complex. I do not ship them, so don't write me a shippy piece. I think its fascinating how they each have such a different concept of brotherhood and how it affects who they are. I love Thor, as a man, and I'm really intrigued by his continued love+devotion to Loki even after everything he's done. How it must confuse our poor Blond God, reconciling his unconditional fraternal love with the anger he feels over Loki's betrayal. So feel free to explore that.

Oh and I'm cool with Thor/Jane.

SANCTUARY (Helen Magnus, John Druitt)
Gosh I love these two and their epic messed up romance. I also miss them - stupid canon, stupid network.

I'm pretty open to literally anything you want to write me for them. Nothing super fluffy, cause that's not them, but neither anything too dark (they are that, I just don't enjoy reading it hahah). I love the ultimate struggle in their relationship - Helen is this brass, powerful feminist and the love of her life is Jack the Ripper. Like omg the drama! The possibilities!

One of the beautiful things about this show is that you can take these characters almost anywhere in history and it works. So if you have a historical setting, that's cool. During present canon works too, as does future-fic and canon-divergent (like maybe they rescue Ashley and what all that entails). I love character study too (so much) and these two are such diverse characters.

I do recognize Helen/James, James/John, and Helen/James/John as canon (and I ship all those hard) so you can work that element in if you'd life. Like that line in Normandy, "who are you more jealous for?!" - uggg that right there is gold! So many feelings!!! I love that trio and how messed up it had to have been over the years for them. Anger, confusion, love, jealousy, etc.

You can bring in any other characters you'd like. I do not ship Helen/Nikola so please don't go there. I do ship Henry/Nikola though.
