I lift my glass......

I lift my glass and my heart in homage to the Professor.

I thank him for a story that has inspired me from the time I was 15.

I thank him for characters who have become so much a part of my life and my heart that I can no longer see them as wholly fictional. For the courage, for the inspiration, for the love that flows into my heart from following their journey.. I am so grateful.

I thank him for restoring my faith when nothing else could. I can see my path thanks to the light he provided. I no longer fear the darkness.

I thank him for putting my feet on a path that has lead to the best friends anyone could ever hope to have.

I thank him for leading me to my own creativity in a way that nothing else has ever touched.

I thank him for Hobbits.

And I thank him for Hobbits.

And I thank him for.... Samwise.
