And the person apologizing was me, because I ask periodically.
“Thanks for asking again about the next 8 episodes, and please stop apologizing for asking - you’re not bothering us. If you and others didn’t care enough to pester (and it’s NOT pestering), then WE could lose faith. I personally read every single fan letter/request that comes in, and we’re still forwarding them to the powers that be (in addition to the cc’s of them already getting them).
If I have to camp out at Showtime in the next couple weeks when they’re back in town to find an answer, or at least a guess, then I’ll do that. In terms of getting onto other networks, the ratings of the next 8 are going to matter, so we’re not going to know until then where Jeremiah will run next in the U.S.
In the meantime, we’re developing a prequel feature, we’re officially continuing the TV continuity in our upcoming online Jeremiah comic series (with the actors resuming their roles in the comic), and we’re developing an extensive RPG game. Jeremiah WILL live on, as long as the fans keep caring. Fortunately, we’re also doing really well around the world, and are already in, or have signed deals, with almost all major markets.
We’re fortunate that JMS did the fantastic job he did on the 35 episodes, because it makes a 35 hour saga - something really rare in TV (which he’s an expert at from Bab 5). So….the next TV series, whether before or after the prequel feature, can easily start a new saga, or pick up where JMS left off.”

So.. if nothing else, we, at least, know that we have a real advocate in Scott. He's always been responsive to fans, so I assume that we'll hear from him if/when he hears anything from Showtime. Meantime.. I'll repost the links containing the many email addresses we used before to let them know about our interest in seeing 'The Missing Eight'.
I'm teaching class all this week so I'm not at my work computer and able to do stuff as usual... but I will get those posts up asap. Today for sure.
