Anyone catch Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on Monday night? My question: Is Dick Clark being the host similar to a person being a Supreme Court justice: a lifetime appointment? If not, someone really needs to tell him that it's time to hang it up. Watching and listening to him struggle to deliver his lines was painful.

Don't want to make fun of someone who has had serious health issues (I think he had a major stroke several years ago), but at the same time, he doesn't need to be on TV.

I know, I know..."But if you don't want to see it, change the channel." I get that. But I was at my buddy's house. My buddy has teenage daughters who wanted to see the "stars" on that telecast (none of whom I can recall by name). Seeing these performers was almost as painful, but that was from lack of talent instead of lack of mental/physical faculties.

The worst part was when Clark did the big countdown to midnight. I was seriously afraid that he was going to lose his place or start counting up instead of down. He looked and sounded so disoriented. Poor fella. At least he still LOOKS good for an old guy.
