another summer to chronicle...
...only this time I'm not going anywhere, lollyjoy is, so the cat is getting an earful. And LJ.
This morning dropped Laura off at the airport, had coffee with her before security, accidentally invented new word "sir-poo-few-lus" or something like that, when trying to say "superfluous" too early in the morning. Hugged goodbye, stopped sniffling in time to pay way out of parking garage.
This afternoon I walked with Emily and next-door Jess to Revolution Cycles on Atwood for Emily's bike to get a checkup, and then we went to Cafe Zoma next door and spent a few relaxing hours drinking iced tea and discussing favorite YA novels. A plan for a summer YA reading club is in the works. I have never been part of a book club before, and I'm excited. Walked back to Emily's after borrowing a few books and eating some chips and salsa (both of us were actually pining for Dixie Dip), then I bussed back here and it is sunny and perfect out. I am sleepy, I want a brat and a movie and some reading and to sleep. Tomorrow back to work, or at least making a list of what I need to do!
