Reading

After a bit of a break from the near-constant reading I used to do, I went to the library again for the first time in several months.  No, I didn't stop reading for several months, I just acquired my books from other sources and didn't read quite as much.  Anyway, I made up for it today by reading three.  It was positively delightful to just sit and read, especially when rhb was too.

In other news, we made some fantastic chicken curry and naan bread last night, and I have a feeling we will be eating it for quite a while.  Lots of leftovers... I suppose that's what we get for tripling the batch for writing group when doubling it would have been sufficient.  That's okay though.  I think the naan bread is the best part... I can't wait to try it again with cinnamon sugar instead of garlic.  Recipe found here.  I like how I can fry it up like pancakes on my griddle.  As a testament to how good it is, I will continue to eat it for several days despite the fact that it makes my hands constantly smell of garlic.

My next cooking goal will be to find a recipe to use my food processor for when I make it.  Suggestions are welcome.  So far all I have ever come up with is hummus and salsa.  The one time I tried to make cheese balls in it didn't work so well...  What's the point in having cool kitchen stuff if I never use it?  Speaking of which, I also need to find a use for my deep fat fryer sometime too.

As far as resolutions go, I'm doing fairly well on the cleaning one, the next Zelda game is coming along (although I keep getting mad at it for killing me 8 times in a row when I know it should be relatively straightforward to get to the end of the dungeon), and the exercise one is struggling...  I got around the library one by using rhb's library card instead of mine, and I can't even remember the rest of them right now, so take that as you will.  The cleaning one is the most important one to me anyway.  Oh, and I guess I did cook a new recipe last week, I think that was one of them.

As you may recall, I got new boots over a week ago, and I wore them faithfully every day last week to church/work.  Miraculously, the snow stayed away or melted every single day!  And then as soon as I took them off Friday night, the snow began and didn't stop for quite a while.  I think they are magical boots.  I just might continue to wear them as often as possible to make spring come sooner.
