Things that have been occupying my time

A thousand piece puzzle.  I got a strange urge to do a puzzle Monday night, suffered serious regrets on Tuesday when it still covered our entire kitchen table, and finally finished it Wednesday night instead of doing homework because I was tired of eating dinner on the couch.  But we did tonight anyway because I am loathe to put it away when it looks so pretty.

This image should probably be censored.  But this enormous pile of dirty dishes is the remnants of an epic tale of delicious dinners this week.  Monday: potato soup.  Tuesday: chicken alfredo pizza (made entirely from scratch except the white sauce).  Wednesday: chicken fettucine alfredo.  Tonight: leftovers!  Tomorrow: more leftovers!  And let me tell you, it's quite an adventure cooking something as complicated as chicken alfredo pizza when (a) you have not very much counter space to start out with, (b) a lot of dirty dishes already covering half the counter space, (c) a pizza stone that you have no idea how to use and (d) a kitchen table covered in puzzle pieces.  But it turned out remarkably good nonetheless.

Homework.  Kind of boring, I know, but a necessary evil.  And I can't complain too much, because I did get quite a lot done at work today in between trips to the central chemistry stockroom.

Last (but certainly not least), my husband.  Who else? :)  He's been making excellent progress on his book, as well increasing our gamerscore on our Xbox 360 account.  We are now up to 11342 points.

I'm looking forward to spending time with my parents this weekend, and I am not looking forward to taking 4 midterms next week.  Oh wait, I just checked... I only have THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Happy day!  PDBio Tues, Physics Wed, English Sat.  Or maybe the Monday after that if I'm lazy.  My Wednesday will be lame sauce, since I'll have to take it after 6, but it could be worse.
