My life in very brief summary...

Dec 30, 2008 15:27

Finals went great.  I survived the drive to CA (not that I did any driving, rhb drove the whole 14 hours; at least the weather was good) and am thoroughly enjoying warm weather, my in-laws, and cats.  I will try to post pictures of my success in getting both cats intrigued enough in brown paper bags lying on their side to investigate further, but not right now, because my camera is in the other end of the house.

Christmas was very nice - Nathan bought me a power strip (oh the excitement!), a lot of Xbox games, some movies, and the world's best hairbrush.  Ohh, who knew what I've been missing out on for so long?  I, in turn, bought him more Xbox games and pencils because he can never find any right when he's supposed to be going to take a test.  We're very exciting.  Also, we received coupons for free textbooks from his parents, and a coupon for a pedicure which I am redeeming this afternoon.  Hooray!

We went to San Fransisco Fri-Sat last week, walked around Chinatown, saw the Golden Gate Bridge, and visited the Exploratorium and Monterey Bay Aquarium.  The aquarium was definitely my favorite.  Nathan says it was, and I quote, "pimpin'."  He also says he approves.  Of me typing that, I presume.  (I found out later we were quite close to the Jelly Belly factory and was disappointed we didn't go there too, but oh well.  Maybe next time.)  Unfortunately, I began to get sick during the latter part of that little excursion, so I ended up staying home all day Sunday on account of not wanting to hack germs over everyone at church.  Instead I found out how very addicting Viva Pinata is on the Xbox.  Let me just tell you: very.  Even though it's kind of a dumb game.  (Basically you have a garden.  You have to put stuff in your garden to attract different types of pinatas, aka animals that spew candy all over when they die.  The goal is to get a lot of pinatas I guess.  It's like Sims+Pokemon+better graphics.  Unless you don't have a high-def TV.  Then there's not better graphics.)

Hopefully tonight I will convince Nathan's brothers to play one of our new game acquisitions (courtesy of Peter) instead of Bang, because I really want to see what Killer Bunnies and the Journey to Jupiter is like, and we've played Bang at least 10 times since I got here.  At least.  Maybe 20.  Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but there's no need to ignore other fabulous games in favor of that one!  Anyway, that's my life as of late.  We're driving home Thursday, so pray we have good weather again!!!
