After being totally shafted by the BYU Bookstore when I sold back my English books (afterwards I realized it was because they only offer 201 in FALL, so of course none of the books were requested for next semester), I got back at them today. I sold my biochem book (which I bought on half.com for $120) for $114. If I had been even smarter and gotten it off Amazon for $90, I could have MADE money on it. As it was, I was pretty pleased that it cost me a mere $6 in the end.
In the very end, anyway. Because they really only gave me $104 when they counted it out, which we discovered immediately afterwards when we deposited it in the bank. Luckily it's BYU, so when we went back up there and told the guy, he said, "I trust you guys," and handed us another $10. And Nathan wants you all to know he gets the credit for it, because he did the talking. (But the cash is still in my purse, so guess who the real winner is... :P)
In other news, I only have one final left (of 6)! It's my Neuro 480 final, though... I have a 60 page study guide in 10 pt font for the comprehensive beast. Hopefully 2 days is enough time to study, because I can't procrastinate it beyond Friday afternoon...
At least if I do badly on it, it's entirely my fault (that professor writes very fair, if detailed and hard, tests), unlike my biochem final, which took 4 hours (open book) and I still bombed it because half of it was material and concepts we had never covered and weren't in the textbook. I was not in a good mood when I left the testing center.
As for my other tests, cooking was incredibly easy; English wasn't too bad (besides it being at 7am and discovering it had snowed 2 inches during the night right when we needed to leave); and Sociology was pretty straightforward. Oh, and after our dance final our teacher said that that dance, the West Coast Swing, was our best dance out of all the ones we've learned. So... I guess 4 and 1 is a decent record so far... plus we've gotten really far into Eternal Sonata when we weren't studying. :P
Speaking of Eternal Sonata, it's a beautiful RPG with a decent storyline. (It is based on Chopin's life.) I think the battle setup is really fun, too. My only complaint is the 20 minute long cut scenes... that happen at least once for every hour of gameplay. I'm not even kidding. I think a 2nd playthrough will be more fun because I can skip them and not feel guilty. :P I bet it would take the game from being 30-40 hours down to 20 at most... Anyway, its greatest asset is that you can play co-op, so Nathan and I can spend quality time together playing it. :)
