Crazy Life

Dec 04, 2007 23:17

I took my Medals exam for Ballroom Dance today.  Now, I distinctly remember my teacher telling me last class period I would be going in the second half of class today, so I was just chilling on the side of the room, watching my classmates dance in front of the professional adjudicator, when I was informed that I was next.  What?  It was only 1:10, definitely not after 1:25.

Luckily this meant I had hardly any time at all to panic and work myself up into a state of nervousness not conducive to dancing well.  So before I knew it, off I went onto the dance floor to dance waltz and quickstep.  I ended up doing pretty well, even though I don't think I've ever danced with my teacher before then.  (The teachers/TA's dance with the students so that any mistakes that are made can be blamed on the person testing instead of their partner...)

Anyway, all my nervousness caught up with me after I finished... I couldn't stop shaking for 5 minutes.  And then I got my results back and life was good again.

New story.

I made dinner tonight!  Yes, that is not a normal occurance.  I made soup, the kind where you put in everything that needs to be used because it's going to go bad if you don't.  It turned out pretty delicious, which is good, because there's a lot.  Hopefully it didn't just taste delicious because I was really hungry.

So, as I procrastinated doing my homework this evening, I wrote out my to-do list for the rest of the semester.  How sick is this: I still have 10 tests and at least 5 quizzes left to take before I can go home for Christmas break.  Keep in mind that I fly home in 2 and a half weeks.  Ugh.

And my internet hasn't worked in my apartment since yesterday afternoon.  This is incredibly vexing to me.  Even if I don't have anything I have to do online, I swear I'm incapable of being productive without internet access.  Ergo, homework does not get done.  And I go through withdrawls... I can't stand not knowing if I have new email.  So now I have to mooch off my friend's internet for at least a little bit.

So when I was not being productive, I was watching this mini-series on the SciFi channel called "Tin Man".  It's a spinoff on The Wizard of Oz.  It was pretty good, I suppose, and also really wierd.  I was relieved to know it ended tonight (6 hours long total) because I really don't have time to watch 2 hours of wierdness every night just to see how it ends.  They're playing the whole thing again all in one sitting on Sunday evening, for the record.

And that concludes this random post.

procrastinating, tests, dancing, television, internet, food, school
