Sorry this is long, but I kind of wanted some advice...

My brother and I used to be close. We are the adopted kids(different moms). He is 11 years older than me. He is the closet to my age out of all my brothers and sisters(I have 7 more). He met my wonderful sister-in-law when I was 8 and they had my wonderful niece by the time i was 13

I fully agree with you. You have to move on and hope for the best. He sounds like he is living in a fantasy world. Sometimes the bridges are too far burned to be rebuilt and it is a waste of effort to try especially when you aren't really trying which is what he isn't doing. You do your best if you want to befriend someone again. You do everything you can to show that you are truely a new person and hope that they see it, but you don't treat them like he treats you and your sis in law and neice.

Thanks, I just got so mad about it. I am the one with my life together and my feet on the ground, and to be told that I don't know anything about the real world by someone that is 33, has never had a bill in his name, a car or place of his own, and can't keep a job to save his life is just so insulting.
I wish I had argued back with him and told him these things. I guess I didn't because I was taking the high road and being the mature one, like I always am.
