home is lovely so far.
haven't quite finished (or started) unpacking yet, but those hours will come. i've basically been bumming around for things to do. I hung out with Qin at Dunkin Donuts on thursday night (um THANKS for no one else from the DD crew being around - haha - pff UK). Friday I saw Star Wars!! I thought it was pretty incredible; people complained that the conversation was weak, but honestly, romantic conversation has NEVER been Lucas's forte. People don't go to see Star Wars for the conversation. ACTION AND SPECIAL EFFECTS, HELLO?!
Saturday, I literally shopped for 6 hours. My mom and I had the task of trying to find a dress for my cousin's wedding and also an outfit for the rehearsal dinner. We found the rehearsal dinner outfit almost immediately, and it's cute and fun, and I love it! (Perhaps when this all is said and done I will take pictures.) Of course, we couldn't get off that easily. Finding the dress was not as simple. I think I must have tried on 30 dresses at least - half that my mom picked out and half that I picked out. She kept picking out these big dresses that made me look frumpy and weren't flattering cuts on me, and I kept picking out slightly more slim fitting and chique dresses. She didn't like so much how the dresses hugged my curves so we kept fighting and getting more irritated with each other. BLAH. Finally I found THE dress I wanted. To appease my mother, I even agreed to go a size higher than I really am, so it wouldn't fit as snuggly (it wasn't even snug in the first case). She still wouldn't allow it. So. Evil me. Went to the Ralph Lauren section of Lord and Taylor and picked out the most expensive and beautiful skirt there. It's gorgeous. And on top of that, I picked out a blouse and wrap to go with it. So she spent more money than she ever would have on the dress I liked, but too bad for her. At least we finally both settled for something.
After shopping for so long, I got a call from Michael Bezreh who knew I was at the mall, and he expressed a need to go to Express Men. So my mother left, and I stayed and waited for Michael. He got cute jeans and two t-shirts and a free polo he will never wear. Haha. But it's ok because one of the sales guys that helped us had the nicest ass ever. Then Michael took me back to Wachusett View Dr.! Haha. Margaret Gray wasn't there - Michael was soooooooooooooooo disappointed. :oP
Yesterday, I did a lot of random stuff, the only part of which matters was going on a bowl cruise with Russell and Scott Howland. Madddd yummy. I also sold them some stuff because I haven't been smoking as much at home as I anticipated. So they should be happy campers. ( I really don't like the phrase "happy campers". I'm going to stop using it henceforth.)
Today, mall with Qin, then TGIFriday's possibly with Bez and Shatz!
Tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY! I'm so NOT excited. I mean, I'm excited to potentially go bowling with Alli Webber and Russell (and whoever else wants to join)! But I really really really don't want to turn 20. Regardless of whether or not my body gets older, I will always act young, and I just wish my body would stop aging so I could live the life of a 19 yr-old forever! BLAH!!
In other news, I've lost 3lbs in 4 days from doing nothing more than eating healthy and playing basketball for about 30 min. two of the four days. Nice. I wish we had a basketball hoop at Colonial Village, where I'll be residing this summer with Michael.
Friday morning, off to seattle for a wedding.
ok bored and need to shower, bye!
