I should say, I have a working draft completed. I want to reread the whole thing from start to finish and make sure it hangs together, but I think I've been pretty careful in tying up all the loose ends. I slogged through chapter 8 and managed to finish a first draft last night. This morning produced a second draft, which I'm mostly happy with. I've forgiven Snape (mostly), but I haven't forgiven Filch for causing me unforseen problems to be dealt with in Chapter 9. Whatever. Chapter 7 of my fic exchange assignment proved to be much easier to write than chapter 6. All the characters did what I told them to (except for Snape, who did something very naughty at the end), and it went pretty well exactly to plan. Today I finally put the final touches on Chapter 6. Chapter 6 has been particularly difficult because it was a kind of in-between chapter.
