School
School started for my boy and boy has the time flown. He's having a ball. He loves it, I love the time away from him. But I have nothing to do with my time. The doggie and I have taken up walking. I've been walking about 2 miles a day 4 or 5 days a week. I've been trying to find something to do with my time. Right now I am fostering two 6 to 7 week old puppies, for the humane society. The boy is loving it. He wants to keep the puppies. They are a mystery mix of mutt. They were found about two hours away from here, near their dead decaying mother. They are sweet and starting to potty train. There were 9 of them. I only took two. I'm glad I don't have the whole litter.
Husband decided in August right after I asked him about having another child, to extend his tour in Korea for another year. Supposedly it's all a coincidence. Doesn't really feel like it to me. So now instead of 1 year, he's going to be gone 2. I don't even know how to tell our son. It kind of makes sense, there wasn't a spot open here in the states that we were willing to go to next year. If he had waited he would have gone to the one spot we're opposed to. Augusta, GA. I just can't live in GA. The other spots were Korea, Korea, and Kuwait. Bonus to him staying another year is he gets paid an extra three hundred dollars a month. Which will probably be eaten up by taxes. The bright spot is that He might be home for 3 weeks next month. It all depends on the government opening back up. He's supposed to have a class in December. His hope is to come home three weeks before his class starts, and then go to his class. But he won't be able to travel to the class if the government stays shut down because there won't be any funding to pay for the travel. *sigh*
Me I'm not doing well but I'm hanging on by my fingernails. I'm frustrated, I want hubby home. I want another baby. I want to be doing something. Anything but sitting inside my own head. I'm thinking about getting back into school for the new year. I'm so close to finishing an associates degree. I've been considering going and becoming a Pharmacy tech. I need a job that I can work and have some flexible hours and move around and be marketable wherever we go.
I applied for a job at the local pizza hut. I didn't even get an interview. I haven't worked since right after hubby and I got married. I figured I could at least get an interview. I got didn't even get that.
