(no subject)
It's been quiet here without Athena. Merlin misses his sister, but is doing well. I had to take him with me to the store today to pick up more milk for him, and more pizza since that's what he's currently accepting. He chose his usual... spinach and mushroom. We also picked up some apples and bananas on his request, and he was pretty good in the store.
*chuckles* Good boy, he can use the iron.
I've actually gotten a page done on this current chapter for Smoky Mirror (D.S. 2) so far today. Nice to have some movement on that again.
My fever broke last night. I made myself a large pot of soup with what I had on hand... a little beef, a head of romaine lettuce that needed eating, a half an onion, some mushrooms, sea salt... ground mustard, lavendar... I think I tossed in a little ginger too... noodles... Was trying to clear my head because I was miserable at that time. I wasn't expecting to want to eat much at all, but I ended up eating four or five bowls full before bed. Actually started feeling a bit better.
Woke up feeling greatly better.
Tonight, for me, dinner sort of the same, just that this time it's fish. Merlin, of course, his pizza. Spinach would be more welcome right now, but this works.
I miss my little girl a lot, but it's been nice to only have Merlin to keep in line. He threw such a fit when we'd dropped Athena and their dad off. You wouldn't have known that they regularly fight over silly stuff (like any siblings... and I know my bro and I sure did).
Spent a lot of today listening to music, writing, and doing a few loads of laundry, and happily... less time sneezing myself out of my chair. Throat hurts a bit still, and personally I think my voice sucks right now... but it's been a restful, if a bit lonely, day. I've been in a good mood all day, not one blowup at all... it's strange to me, but I like it. A little irritation when I got called on to be a human alarm clock again, since Trav slept in for quite a while, as nearly always it seems, but nothing huge... just that one minor thing...
