This. I have this burned off somewhere, unwatched. Also, I meant to ask -- who is that in the second screencap? I'm thinking either Kyo Nobuo or Araki Hirofumi, and of course when I look up the cast list, they're both in it.

This? This is what I'm good at. Possibly the only thing I'm good at. Hell, I found Miura Ryosuke in an episode of 1 Pound no Fukuin, in a role so tiny that Dwiki, Japanese Wikipedia, and even his official site had no mention of. (It was definitely him, though. I know Matthew Perrier when I see him!)

Wasn't Kyo Nobuo an asshole in an episode of Bara no Nai Hanaya? Or am I thinking of Zettai Kareshi? He randomly turns up in a lot of stuff, anyway.

Heh, I know the feeling. I once spent twenty minutes searching a dark classroom frame-by-frame because I knew I'd spotted Matsukawa Naruki, even though the wiki couldn't confirm it. Two weeks later his name was finally added to the cast, so victory was... twenty minutes of my life I'll never get back?

I know he was the asshole senpai in ZK. Was he in Bara too?

Those victories are so great, though! They're made of 'I told you so'. What sucks is when you think you know who that random person in the background is, but you have absolutely no way to confirm it. Like the opening narration for Sh15uya. It's Tsuda Kenjirou! Uh, I think! I mean, I'm pretty sure! Except I have no way to confirm it. (Repeat until insane.)

He was in an early episode. I think he was a doctor, or something? He was definitely in it, though, 'cause I remember thinking when Tamayama Tetsuji showed up, "Okay, now we have half of Trapnest. Who's next? Mizutani Momosuke? Yuna Ito?"

He was Ren in the second movie. I think Matsuda Ryuhei was a better Ren, but he was still pretty good. Then again I spent the whole movie waiting for more scenes with HONGO KANATAAAAAAAAA a.k.a. the reason I have a shotacon. v.v

Hey, the second movie wasn't complete crap. At least they cut out the Reira/Shin romantic subplot. If they'd left it in, I probably would've exploded from rage. (I have nothing against Yuna Ito, but her portrayal of Reira just made me want to murder puppies.)

But what can you expect from a character who (in animated form) shares a voice with FREAKIN' SEPHIROTH? (Never trust a character voiced by Morikawa Toshiyuki. He's not always evil, but better safe than sorry.)

Speaking of the anime... Proving everything is connected by way of seiyuu is pretty much my life's mission. That said, Ren shares a voice with Tenma. (And Oshitari Yuushi, and Sasagawa Ryohei. Uh, one of these things is not like the other...)

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS SO DAMN DIFFICULT ABOUT MAKING THEM LESBIANS. I even would've been fine if Hachi ended up with Nobu, really. (Lesbian girl with a gay guy; why not?) But the anime. THE ANIMEEEEEEEE. They cast my two favourite seiyuu as my two favourite character and just PILE ON THE ANGST. ANGST ANGST ANGST, NO, NEEDS MORE ANGST, NO HAPPY ENDING FOR YOU AHAHAHAHA! AUUUUUUUUGH. No wonder I never got around to finishing the anime. IT DESTROYED MY SOUL.
