I just realized that you have a tag called "no brain required".

It's. It's kind of funny going through the tagged list, actually. Especially when you see Chocolate and MR. BRAIN side by side.

Also: I have developed this urgent need for martial arts asskicking after consuming Avatar: The Last Airbender at whiplash speeds. This post brings much joy to my heart *__*

LMAO it's not any indication of quality, it's just... for those times when you want to watch something without having to think deeply about it. Action movies, cracky dramas. That kind of thing.

IT WAS AMAZING, WASN'T IT?

LOL I know! Not needing to think doesn't mean anything. I just thought the contrast was really funny, since they are about as polar opposite as anything can get on the Asian continent XD.

ATLA WAS EPIC. I loved it, problems and all! I think I watched it nearly faster than I watched Hana Yori Dango L-LOL.

Personally I think Kimura Takuya has plenty in common with a young female martial artist with autism. Don't you?

........D: PROBLEMS? IN AVATAR? BLASPHEMOUS.

I don't know, Kimura Takuya's multitude of characters kind of needs more cool points to be anywhere near Jeeja Yanin's. The swooshy hair and the panty-flinging fangirls, now, I can concede.

I PREFER AN ENLIGHTENED ACCEPTANCE OF ALL THAT AVATAR IS. IF THAT MAKES ME A PARIAH, SO BE IT.

(If it makes you feel any better, I spent the better part of an afternoon vigorously defending Katara against a friend who hated her with a passion, thinking her too emotional and weak and etc. I was all ;__________________; at her the whole time. Each to their own, I guess.)

Somehow I misread this as Kimura Takuya > Jeeja Yanin and I was all set to go DDDDDDDDDDDDD: at you and cry. Kimura has style, but Jeeja would only need two seconds to punch him in the nose and shave his head at the same time.

Oh god, I got that on my Katara post too! People hated her for being too "righteous." Well gee, she's only a fucking hero.

People are allowed their own tastes, but I'm equally allowed to think they should take those tastes and crawl in a dark hole with them.

LOL that was essentially what I wrote at the first go! Kimura Takuya can seduce 3/4 of the world's population, but he sure can't beat those jealous suitors up for his life.

I still look forward to a drama where KimuTaku is bald. Hm.

People hated [Katara] for being too "righteous." Well gee, she's only a fucking hero.I AGREE SO HARD TO ALL OF THIS OMG. I don't mind that my friend had different opinions than I did. But I had to defend Katara when my friend didn't like that she was so emotional, and that she wept when she could bloodbend (something about not being a big event ( ... )

I would pay money. I mean literally, I would buy a ticket to Japan just to experience in person the anguished screams of housewives everywhere.

I had to defend Katara when my friend didn't like that she was so emotional, and that she wept when she could bloodbend (something about not being a big event).

Seriously?! Bloodbending was a big fucking deal! And even if it wasn't -- if it was somehow not completely terrifying -- it was still something Katara point-black did not want to do, that she was all but forced into using to save her friends. That right there is traumatizing. It'd be like someone making Aang enter the Avatar state fully conscious as he killed people. Something that against your base morals and what defines your identity IS "a big event."

Sigh. Sometimes I think the world is so disillusioned with heroes that they can't recognize the real deal even when it's right in front of them.

I LIKED that she was girly and emotional and bitchy and teary and still is ( ... )

I bet that could potentially save his ratings! The novelty of Kimura Takuya without his famous, most-probably-insured hair! Wow, TsukiKoi has some really shitty ratings. No thanks to Asano Taeko, too.

I was most offended by the blase take on bloodbending, myself. You nailed what I was trying to tell her: she was made to become who she is against her will, and what she became can take away the conscious control of the body and possibly life. This has nothing to do with how often she can use it or if she chooses to use it; she now has a really terrifying skill, and she shouldn't have be forced to learn it at all.

Also, that Aang analogy is aptly horrible, or horribly apt. D: Aang's final showdown had a really good message ♥
