Happiness of the Katakuris is Miike insanity, with singing and MUCH bloodshed.

And you absolutely should. Oldboy is one of my favorite films EVER.

Oldboy is a thing of absolute beauty, and yes, it does have a *spoiler* relationship, which, although creepy and twisted is very appropriate to the overall feeling of the film. I cannot say enough good stuff about this movie. It is beautiful, disturbing, visceral, gritty, artistic, morbid, and incredibly twisted. *loves*

I almost wish I hadn't read That Spoiler, except it's the one thing that makes me REALLY CURIOUS TO SEE IT.

I almost wish I HAD read The Spoiler. It would definitely have prepared me. It was a complete and total shock and during the revelation I just kept going "no NOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" kind of like Brad Pitt's "WHAT'S IN THE BOX MAN WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!?!".
