LOL this entire drama is fanservice. That skirt STILL looks stupid but at least she doesnt wear it in the show. Man who knows if I'm desperate enough I might watch it. I'm running out of brit dramas to be honest. it's distressing. I dont have an endless influx of them like I do k and jdramas. I did watch ep 1 of being human btw! I confess to being underwhelmed. I adored the characters for sure, and the vampire guy? VERY GOOD LOOKING. but, the plot is falling flat for me tbh. The vampire thing it just covers alot of the same things I've seen done in billion other vampire fictions and I'm kind of wtfing over how he can just WALK AROUND in daylight. I know it seems like pointless nitpicking but the whole point of vampires is for them to be creatures of the night. but oh well it's not a huge deal I guess though I dont find this vampire conspiracy plot to take over the world and enslave humanity particularly interesting. I'm w/e on hottie vampire's angst too. the scenes I love the most are really when they are just interacting with each other and trying to be normal. the ghostt girl is very very adorable but again i'm kind of wtfing over how regular people can see her no problem but it's less annoying since it's not consistent. and also her boyfriend has sleazebag written all over his face, he totally shoved her down the stairs didnt he? I'm most interesting in nervous werewolf boy's story I think since I'm less exposed to werewolf stories and he's a very interesting take on a werewolf, i mean since they are normally portrayed in gothic horror as being these rugged dirty men without shirts. I also watched and finished state of play, another show I really recommend to you on the grounds that it is VERY awesome and one of the best pieces of tv I've seen in my whole life.

I've started feeling that way myself. Like I've gone through all the jdramas that look interesting to me, but there's plenty of kdrama and twdrama I haven't tried yet. Oh, and I found a site that has like every movie of Ananda Everingham's career, so expect a lot more Thai recs coming soon. XD

I'm sad you didn't enjoy Being Human. ): I'd tell you to watch more, but there are only six eps and if you didn't like the pilot you probably won't like the rest, lol. Though I'd at least suggest ep two if you're George fan. It's a very George/werewolf-centric episode. Plenty of sweaty naked forest romps. (I'll tell you one thing, BH was very generous in that department.)

I don't think I've heard of State of Play?

OH OH. SPEAKING OF TV. ARE YOU WATCHING THE SARAH CONNER CHRONICLES? OMFG. MOST HARDCORE FUCKING LADIES ON TELEVISION HOLY SHIT.

Well I wont give up on being human just yet but I dont know how far I'll get. I'll still check out the second series when it surfaces though since it'll probably have a different story arc entirely and might be more interesting to me.
and well I'd love to see what kdramas you recommend! So far I have a short list myself of tazza, full house, the slingshot, and hong gil dong. I generally dont get into kdramas as much cause they are always SO full of angst that it feels tiring to watch them half the time. and they tend to be a tad long for my incredibly short attention span.

State of Play is a most excellent drama that centers on a scandal caused by a woman's death, this woman worked for an MP basically a member of the parliament and a high ranking one at that, and so a team of journalists lead by cal mcaffery try to get to the bottom of this woman's death which is first assumed to be a suicide, but upon closer inspection turns out to be not so simple a case. it's fascinating the twists and turns the plot takes, and the relationship between cal, stephen collins the MP and Anne, stephen's wife. It all ties up together and concludes very cleanly. and it's a very gripping six episodes. I had fun watching the journalists team work together too. bill nighy was the editor in chief and totally got all the best lines. John simm played cal and David morrissey was stephen. Philip glenister appears as a secondary character as well, he plays a *gasp* cop. lol. Amazing performances from everyone! I dunno if it's your cup of tea or not but just in case I figured I'd bring it to your attention. funnily enough, hollywood is making a movie based on the plot as well.

I've not watched this sarah conner chronicles! I've heard people talk of it though so if you have some links I'll be sure to check it out! well once I figure out what the plot is about XD

I've recced some here! :D I keep meaning to add country tags, there would only be four or five, but I hate the thought of cluttering up my posts even more. XD Like, when are the tags too much?

State of Play sounds pretty awesome (and even better -- short). I should've known John Simm would be in there somewhere. *runs away*

Have you seen the Terminator movies? I haven't (you don't need movie knowledge to follow the show) but if you have, you might know the story better than me. XD Sarah Connor is a badass fugitive with a teenage son, John, who will grow up to be the leader of the human resistance against the terminators. But the machines (robots?) know it too, so they've time traveled to eliminate him. There is SO MUCH epic badassery, especially on the part of the mom. She's this fucking fierce mama bear with extensive combat and weapon skills, and GOD HELP YOU, seriously god help your sorry pitiful ass, if you mess with John. John also has a machine protector in the form of Summer Glau, and you can imagine the scary strength there. I mean, she's literally made of fucking steel. There's hardcore, and then there's a terminator. She bends metal and walks through glass. Death is only a minor inconvenience. When she and Sarah work together, mountains tremble and people who piss them off wind up on a field of land mines. It's seriously great. I'll PM you with links.

sorry for the delayed reply! We had horrible weather and my area just barely missed a tornado. so yeah I lost my net connection for a while.

Yeah I've seen the ones you've done so far! I meant any that you make in the future XD. I have this friended so I see everything.

LOL! No you're right though, I originally looked it up cause I knew simm was in it but I didnt watch it until I found out bill nighy was in it too and paul abbot wrote it. I LOVE paul abbot's writing, he never fails to impress me. The show won several BAFTA's as well, so all of that together managed to be enough motivation for me to check it out, even though normally I wouldnt watch this kind of show cause I'd worry it would be dull but it was ANYTHING but dull. This is such a cliche thing to say but I was riveted XD

I'm rather torn you see, I did see the second and part of the first terminator films an while I didnt hate them I dont know if I'd want to watch a whole tv series about them...I was never much of a sci fi girl you see. But on the other hand, those ladies sound so awesome...summer glau ;_; I still have crush on her from serenity which I saw like 4 years ago. though ironically I didnt like firefly at all...well if you send me the links I'll give it a go! I might love it who knows XD I'll need something to break up the monotony of my summer. I wont get to go overseas like I'd wanted since I have to stay and take....summer math classes. WOE IS ME.

Augh, did it not go through? Let me know if you still haven't got it.

I... I think I can forgive you for a tornado. Are you okay??

Well, they're the big bad, but they're not the series focus, if that makes sense. It's all about Sarah and John Connor on asskicking road trips filled with death and heavy weaponry (at least through ep five, where I am). Summer Glau is AWESOME. I wanted to ask if you knew River but didn't want to sound like a crazy Firefly fan. XD If that girl can play anything, it's a deadly destroyer in an innocent-looking package.

Too bad about your travel plans! Math, eternal nemesis.

Yeah it didnt but I got it now, thank you as always! you are like my fairy god mother of tv shows or something XD

Oh I'm very well thanks ^^ It just missed us so all we got was a bit of very loud thunder, some heavy rain and the server going down for an hour. Nothing catastrophic, and really after hurricane fran in 95 I dont think this area will see the likes of that again. I mean, our local malls were freaking flooded!

I loved river!, she had this lovely combination of cute, badass and completely insane. You see now why I like parker so much yes? and firefly really had a lovely cast of characters, the idea was interesting too but the execution was poor IMHO. The movie however was very well done and showed how good the series could have been, I even saw it with my dad and HE liked it even though he never saw the show. and really whatever flaws firefly had it's definitely better than the travesty that is the Dollhouse. blech what a skeevy show. Yes math IS my eternal nemesis. I have 3 actually: Math, the cold, and mangoes.

Ha, same here! My father loved Serenity even though Firefly bored him. Though I do question his taste, because one day he came in my room like "Man, have you seen that Twilight movie? It's some good shit." OH DAD. ARE YOU TEAM EDWARD?

The less said about Dollhouse, the better. *strikes from memory*
