Powerful Opponents

She's the first female presidential bodyguard. They're estranged brothers whose angst can only manifest through excessive showering. Together, a love triangle where they *all* beat each other up!

Brawls! Bickering! Bodyguards! And a reluctant love triangle between an angsty amnesiac playboy, a yummy repressed government agent, and a gun-toting lady who can take you down and do it in heels.

I'm sorry, I just, I really loved these promo images.

Young Jin and Gwan Pil are recent graduates from bodyguard training. They're also spitting rivals who clawed for #1 in their class and loathed each other on sight.

She challenges him! He scorns her! When he starts trashtalking, she jumps him. She also punches him in the face and slams his things and he throws her around the mats and talks about inferior she is. Love means never having to say you're sorry for the hospital bill.

True concern is only expressed through a mask of insults. "You're tired." "Are you worried about me?" "No, but if you collapse it'll be more work for me."

Two words: gun training.

Su Ho is the president's rowdy son. His rebellion is expressed through motorcycle-riding and Linkin Park, which should give you an idea of the cool, sophisticated badass we're dealing with.

He thinks his bodyguards could be better...

... so he must be schooled.

Frequently.

For bonus points, he and Gwan Pil are estranged pseudo-brothers haunted by a tragic past. Now Gwan Pil gets to hold him down and make him follow presidential orders. "Be obedient, Su Ho." a;fkl;sdfjsdfd

HOW TORTURED ARE YOU, SU HO? BLOW HIM AND LET'S SEE.

GUESS WHAT HAPPENS. GO ON, GUESS.

Yeah, this drama knows what we want. There was a shower scene literally sixty seconds into the first episode. :D :D :D

It amused me how often they found excuses to be wet. They bathed once an episode, fell into pools and fountains, and not only got caught in the rain, but actually stood outside despite it.

Did I mention? When Gwan Pil comes down with a fever, Su Ho opens his shirt and starts rubbing him down. There's -- there's really nothing you can say to that.

YOUNG JIN IS FANTASTIC. She's a creature of bloody knuckles and spitfire. She can break your fingers and kick you in the face at the same time. Gwan Pil is forced to take the rear guard because she keeps beating people up and it creates publicity problems.

Pity her blind date. No, really. "So what are your hobbies?" "Shooting, judo, fencing... "

They're partners, that's all! Just partners.

Love has no interest here.

They would never.

Except when they do.

I've never seen a drama so open to the possibility of a threesome. There's a point where I'm pretty sure Su Ho was plotting it. Young Jin's family interrogates her about her relationship with "those two men."

GEE I DUNNO, I MEAN THEY'RE SO SUBTLE ABOUT IT.

Again -- it's hard to beat a love triangle where they all throw down.

Each other, that is.
