That tub of human fat clutching an electric guitar is not a rockstar.
But to Backstreetboys fans, Nick Carter is still a hunk. One who can sing--and do rock and roll.
That's not a rock concert, folks. That is the Backstreetboys' one night only concert at Araneta Coliseum last night.
I went to accompany a good friend of mine who's been a loyal BSB fan since 10 years ago when the boy band broke into the Asian music industry. I couldn't believe that they were able to fill up the Araneta Coliseum with squealing girls--and some gu/ays--of all ages. And their songs from some years ago would make you sing along even if you try not to. They're good performers. The only thing that turned me off is that they didn't dress for the concert. It was as if they were just having a general practice, and people watched by chance.
I'd like to believe that this person beside me is the happiest fan last night and the most deserving to watch that concert.
As for me (a closet, used-to-be BSB fan--but not a die-hard one), I was perfectly content to see them live in action. All of them, but Nick Carter can sing.
