jasu reunion on the 22nd was loads of fun!~
last night, our family had shabu shabu. yumyum. and we are dogsitting for my uncle. i'm not too sure what breed of dog it is, but his name is snoopy and he's really fat. ☺
i met a bulgarian guy while playing a MMORPG last night. i asked him if he spoke german because i had this preconceived notion that all eastern europeans spoke german and/or english. i didn't even know bulgarian was a language until he told me so. this just goes to show how narrowmindedly 'american' i am. MUST. TRAVEL. ABROAD. &IMMERSEmyself. in other CULTURES!
so today is Christmas DAY!!! this year, i don't really feel the christmas spirit. maybe it’s because the extended family is out of town or maybe it’s because I used up all my Christmas spirit in late November. but because it’s christmas and it’s such a wonderful holiday, I feel obligated to chronicle my very uneventful day:
i woke up 10:50am and went out with my aunt, sister and cousin to eat lunch. we went to President Thai on rosemead blvd. the food was good and surprisingly NOT spicy. afterwards my aunt dropped my sister and i back home and i slept until 5pm. (ughh..iknow) my grandma and other aunt are here right now singing karaoke and my dad is cooking up (~~from what I can smell) a YUMMILICIOUS christmas dinner. me and my sister just returned from walking the dog in the wet ground. NOT A GOOD IDEA! but he REALLY really wanted to go out. . .to poop and pee. when we came back, he was so dirty; he also had ants crawling up his paws and i had to clean him up. despite all this, i still want a dog!!! ☺
also, our family is moving soon. but no worries, it's a temporary move and we'll still be in arcadia. explanation; the economy is not doing too well. my dad can't sell his house. he decided that we move into the new house and rent out the old one. but we're only living in the new house until the economy shoots back up and he can sell it for a reasonable price. we'll be moving in early january. so massive packing and purging of unnecessary stuff is in need.
