I have been writing an inordinate number of journal entries recently. It's not even that I'm writing papers and using LiveJournal to avoid actually doing work. There must be something in the water here.
At any rate, I'm writing this to celebrate the end of The Essay That Would Not Die. It's rather terrible, but it's not due til 9 AM tomorrow, so I think I'll give it a little time before I revise it then turn it in. Hopefully I'll be struck with a marvelous way of improving it sometime in the next 11.5 hours and not have to turn in the drivel for my first essay.
Unfortunately, the cessation of one essay means the start of another. Fortunately, the second essay is on The Picture of Dorian Gray, which is not only more interesting but more manageable than David Copperfield. God, all I do is write about essays and novels anymore. I apologize for any boredom induced comas my entries have caused.
Tara and I made a good dinner of orange and ginger chicken (now with fresh ginger root!) with green beans. Unfortunately, it set my essaying schedule back quite a bit. Now I'm monitoring the Bears game on espn.com (shockingly, I do care) while I write my essay.
My birthday is 2 weeks from tomorrow and I'm looking for appropriate ways to celebrate. While I won't have the traditional 21st birthday hoopla, I think I'm going to treat myself to a facial at a nearby spa (must do research) and attempt to finish my essays early that week. I love my birthday and I'm really very excited about it. Hopefully it'll live up to my expectations.
