Holy Shit
Mark's boss talked to him about his three month raise today. Not only is he going to be earning an extra $2.50/hour (which is totally unexpected -- we were thinking maybe an extra dollar, two if we were really lucky), but his boss is making it retroactive from the day he started! So, tomorrow, he can go pick up a bonus check (tax free) for $2.50 for every hour he's worked there. That's gonna be a huge bonus check. I've never even heard of a boss doing that...I suppose when you normally work for places that want as much work for as little pay as possible, it doesn't happen.
We're going to buy ourselves a new vaccuum cleaner, buy the kids each a couple of new outfits, and put the rest in the bank to put a deposit on a new apartment/house. And now that he's making an extra...oh $100/week....we can definately afford the type of place we're wanting to rent. Now we just have to convince the potential landlords to rent to us.
My mom is giving us $40 to buy ourselves some wine or something to celebrate.That's nice.
I did get out of the house today. Brought Kaiden and Lexie to Metro, took them to Play Paradise, and cool little indoor playground (we've never been there before, it was nice, much calmer than Go Bananas). I got a couple of containers for their clother (woohoo boring I know). Everybody was right...it did me a lot of good to get out.
