I'm going to be really really nitpicky on details so look away if it's too much??

I received my morning dress outfit a while back but forgot to comment on it...whoops? Here I switched the grey waistcoat out for a gold one from Volks and the ribbon tie out for a bowtie to pull everything together. I did mean to take a pic of it in full but I already took Mr. Williams out of it and I'm lazy. LAZY.

The pants were kinda baggy at the hip/butt/upper thigh this time round so I went to ask them what was up and they said that it was cut loose on purpose because of the style of that era. =A=;; The pleats I can live with even though pleated trousers are so retro because it's cute in a nostalgic sort of way I guess... think Steve Rogers but the bagginess is off-putting. Like grandfather trousers. It's hard to see in my pic but the trousers are pinstriped too. I prefer to have the trousers compliment the waistcoat so I don't think it'll get a lot of use. Oh well.

I think the coat tails are a touch too short too but that could be personal taste -- I like it down to the back of the knees but this one ends just above. In the FT pics the SD13/17 versions both end above but the SID/EID versions end at the back of the knees... unfair!

As with all FT suit jackets: the sleeves are much too long but my alas my repeated suggestion for them to shorten them have gone unheeded, though they assure me they have a new cut of jacket now which should have shorter sleeves. I really really really love the perfect peek of snowy-white linen of the shirt sleeve from the jacket sleeve so having to pull one sleeve up to reveal another is annoying. Maybe a better fix would be lengthening the length of the shirt sleeve instead so it can cover the wrist joint like my Volks dress shirts do...

And now I'm sleepy so things I adore about the set:
  • the slightly rounded collar (I HAVE A THING FOR MEN'S COLLARS and I can not find rounded collars for doll shirts anywhere /woe). Another thing I've been looking for forever is a proper top hat; so far all the ones I have a too small to really go over a SD's head.
  • the rolled lapels are lovely, so prim and proper~
  • the cut of the coat, especially the curved cutaway front. Yummy. Especially the narrow waist.
TL;DR Rene is very particular about her suits.
