So today was a drastically dolly day indeedy.
I woke around 2pm and was very disappointed when I had neither an email from Switch informing me of my winning the lottery nor a huge box sitting downstairs. So I sulked in bed for a bit and indulged in more Avengers because I love all the characters so much -- even the girls! -- I've been stuck in the fandom for a bit.
Then I went downstairs to check the tracking and it said that both Jun and Auri were out for delivery. (For the confused, I bought a fullset Volks SDGrG Jun and a Volks Anais head. Jun is not staying, cute though she is.)
When the postman finally trundled up to my front gate I was all puzzled because he handed me one parcel. The truck was not the usual one and the postman was also not my usual one so I thought perhaps my other parcel (Jun) was on another truck. So after spazzing at Auri (sad floating head) I checked the tracking and it said both parcels were delivered, which made me freak out because heeeeeeeeey WHAT DO YOU MEAN, MISTER?? Plus when I called Speedpost the guy on the line insisted it was delivered until I yelled at him and his manager took over.
HIM: What time was the delivery?
ME: Just 15 minutes ago. Please reroute the truck back to my place, it can't have gone far.
HIM: I'll have to check the depot for the parcel.
ME: What do you mean, check the depot? I know my package is sitting right in the back of that van!
HIM: Er. Okay. I will schedule a redelivery immediately.
ME: Today.
HIM: I cannot guarantee that.
I think my silence must've conveyed enough disdain for him to feel it over the phone because he suddenly changed his tune and reassured me it would be today.
In the end, Jun arrived an hour later so all was well and I could behead her. See, usual-doll-meet-folks, yelling at the postal service is very efficient.

Welcome home, Auri. ♥
I had a lot of trouble getting this girl home (seriously, I think I changed my mind about sending her for a faceup like, three times? My poor seller!) so she is rapidly being spoiled. Also can the special Jun hand is so lovely and the curled fingers are just so cuuuute~~ And
yagamijo was totally right and SHE CAN STAND ON TIPTOES OMG. *hearts forever* Then
schizocheese said to switch out her thighs to the mobility ones but use the high heeled calves so I'm going to try that tomorrow. :D
And as if the dolly shenanigans weren't over, my email from Switch came and I WON A(NOTHER) HAHWA~~ Hahwas and me have very good affinity. *nods*
Now I'm just going to end this abruptly because I'm tired after all the excitement, whew.
EDIT: Just wanted to say that I was reading
this thread and huh, I never really had to beg my parents for any of my dolls. I guess being a Good Student who "performs well" (my gosh, I hate that phrase whenever it pops up in my report book what am I your racehorse?) and "behaves" helps. Also my dad is super nice and supportive of my hobbies (reading, movies, shopping, dolls, photography) so I am very, very lucky in this regard. <3 Boo to the people who proclaim that everyone who parents buy them dolls are "spoilt rich brats" because errrr not all teens are silly twitterpated flutterheads, some of us actually work hard and are excelling at what we are supposed to do (studying). Yeah, I get that there are those who whine and whine and whiiiiine for things, but... not everyone is like that.
