The last scene I wanted to write is done, along with my first round of line-edits.
I just want to check the early chapters in the copy my friend Luke edited, to be sure I fixed any of the issues he caught.
I ran the scene by evildamsel and she likes it, thinks it works and adds more depth to more characters. I want to run the edited version by Luke and Tim. I want to make sure all three think it fits where I inserted it.
If it does...
If I do the final tweaks...
Then hit "print"...
I'm officially done with Seven of Wands, and several days ahead of schedule. (I wanted to mail it on the 28th, at the very latest. Now it looks like I'll be able to send it out to both mentors on the 26th. Due date is June 1st.)
I still need to let it all sink in, and it probably won't until the manuscript is out of my hands and in the mail, and even then not until I'm sitting at the tattoo parlor commemorating the occasion.
