something useful?

maybe I could make this thing into something useful, a running journal?
yeah sure, when I feel like typing about it. I guess I feel like typing about it or I wouldn't have gone to the trouble of bringing this up and typing about it. Yeah.

So I ran not-quite two miles in 20:20 tonight. That's better than the 20:58 I ran this past Wednesday. And the 24:26 I ran last week Monday when I was so discouraged. I had a rude awakening almost two weeks ago that the course I've been running through the neighborhood isn't the slightly more than two miles I thought it was all this time I've been running it, it's just shy of 1.8 miles. I'm battling a stitch in my side almost everytime I go out, it's really annoying. And I need some encouragement because I can't seem to force myself to go the whole way anymore without walking for a bit, and that's before the stitch starts bothering me.

I'm determined to run faster now though, because the next time I visit Eric in Texas I'm going to beat 2 miles in 18 minutes, even in that Texas heat.

I need to motivate myself to get to the highschool track to run, I want to do it on a flat surface at least once a week to see how it goes without the hills to help/hinder me and time myself on a sprint.
