Omg Omg Omg.
I'm buying our tickets to England this Friday (and testing this theory that apparently tickets to Europe are at their cheapest 151 days before departure), and it all kind of seems surreal. I'm super excited about this.
herecirm and I have already discussed a few plans such as (in no particular order):
- Visiting Stonehenge and Woodhenge
- Visiting 'Vanaheim' and other film sets
- Camden Town
- London (obviously)
Thad was looking up Buckingham Palace tours a few weeks ago. I also hope that we get to at least do a little traveling in London Underground (where the hell is my "Neverwhere" book by Neil Gaiman?! I had started re-reading it last year, then my book kinda vanished on me...).
Sari and I have also discussed maybe (hopefully) doing a 48 hour trip to Ireland.
She was looking up prices, and had asked me where in Ireland I would like to go. I said that I didn't know, and could think of 3 places.
- Dublin (d'uh...)
- Cork County (Because the Cork accent is THE BEST Irish accent, and my villain Malrich is from Cork)
- Donegal County (Because that's where my ancestry line of Kirkpatrick's are from).
So yesterday, while watching re-runs of Ghost Adventures, I decided to look and see what exactly one could do in Cork County.
TripAdvisor's website gave me a list of 223 (WOW!!!) things to do in Cork. #2 on the cultural list was to visit Blarney Castle and Gardens.
How did I not know that the Blarney Stone was in Cork?!?!
So I went to
http://www.blarneycastle.ie/ and Zomg, now I have to go. Not to just kiss the stone, but I also want to explore the caves and dungeons. <3 So here's crossing my fingers that we can manage a trip to Ireland, too! <3
Other than that, though, just to be in England visiting the awesometastic Sari is what it's all about!
Come on, September 2nd!
