Skiing is a lot of work! Fortunately, I have never been afraid of work. Now I want to have enough $$ to ski daily, perhaps the occasional lottery purchase will oblige :) Being up on the slopes is both better exercise and a lot less boring than any other form of cardio that I have done up to now.
Tomorrow I plan to buy my own ski gear, as opposed to the renting and borrowing so far. I should be able to get skis, poles and boots at a reasonable price by purchasing former rental gear. Not world class equipment, but I will also never be a world class skier! One advantage to buying in Idaho is a significantly lower sales tax.
While the guys,
echoeversky and his Dad, did the ski patrol thing this afternoon, I headed back to the house. Before the ski school started I was able to get in a few short runs and work on developing some better habits. Rather than staying around the house, his Mom and I headed into town for some fun thrift store shopping. I do love thrift stores! My purchases were a fun, shiny purse and two necklaces for under $20.
Soon it will be time for a glass of wine and hot tub.
