Snow Country
So far we are having a good time here in Hailey Idaho.
Friday was our drive day. It was only a 12 hour trip, a few stops for breakfast and lunch plus a couple gas and/or potty stops. No snow on the roads at all, so it was smooth sailing.
Eric was informed that he and his Dad were going to be ski patrolling on Sat and Sun, so he was swept away. Fortunately, Eric's Mom and I like each other, so we hung out together and on Sunday went to see the movie Valentine's Day. Not a show I would have gone to see out of my own volition, but not horrible either. I passed on going to church, fortunately, she is cool with the no church thing.
We scored big by taking his parents out to dinner Sunday for Valentine's Day :)
Today the guys and I were out running errands. Eric's boots needed repairs and I am looking to buy ski pants. I found great a great pair of liners for ski pants, but need to get the pants themselves. The suggestion that I "redneck ski" in jeans does not much appeal to me. Also needed is a pair of ski boots to rent. I can borrow gloves and skis/polls from Eric's parents, YAY!
The guys are taking a nap right now. We will be out to get the ski pants they have in my size later.
I will have to report on my first time on skis in over a quarter century later.
