Foodgasam
Eric and I just got back from an incredible dinner, courtesy of Darkkatpouncing! (THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!).
We dined at the 909 in Burien (http://burien909.com/) and had the best meal that I have had in months. The meal started with a shared pork tenderloin skewer that we shared. He choose the lamb shank off of the evening specials menu, while I had the chicken crepe.
Then came the surprise dish! Eric had talked to the owner and told him about a favorite dish at another place that had closed, a 4 cheese mac n cheese with oxtail. E figured that if any restaurant could recreate this dish, it would be the 909. OMG, right after we got our entrees, a dish of the most wonderful mac n cheese with lamb appeared at the table. Many mutual foodgasams ensued. Dinner conversation mostly consisted of "wow this is great".
I got my favorite dessert, tiramisu without the dreaded chocolate (I am allergic :( to it)which put me over the top with joy!
If you are looking for great food, a very nice wine list and a great atmosphere you really should check out the 909!
