Sick again :(

Liz woke up yesterday with a croupy cough and then by evening had a fever to go with it. Before we went to bed last night I started getting a scratchy throat and was coughing some. WHAAA!!!!  I need to push the Echinacea and Emergen-C today for sure. Liz has a fever again today already but doesn't want any medicine. K and A are building with Legos and poor L is just lying on the couch with her sippy.

I finally made LOTS of plans for yesterday and today and had to cancel them all. I was going to see gf's that I don't see often enough, go swimming with the kids (which we do pretty much daily now), and go grocery shopping. At least we got to go see my in-laws yesterday. They left this morning for PA to visit family and will be gone for maybe a week or 10 days. I told my MIL that she better be back before we leave for Williamsburg on the 19th cause I'm gonna miss her and won't want to go that long without talking with her. I told her to email me and let me know she got there OK, I swear it's hard having them leave b/c she's such a great friend to me. They both have our best interests at heart when helping us through problems and don't seem to be biased towards one side or another. It's like having a neutral third party to help us sort through the crap sometimes. Then we can go back to just talking and catching up on day to day life. I used to hate my MIL and now I can't stand the thought that one day she will no longer be around.

J and I have entertained the idea of moving west before on a few occasions, but I wouldn't want to do that anytime soon. I couldn't leave his family. Mine I could part with. I tell J frequently that if we ever get D'd that I get to keep his family (and last night I told him that I was keeping the last name, too, and wasn't switching back, lol). I just can't imagine not having them to gain life lessons and support from. I feel bad for people that don't have that connection with their IL's (of course, I don't have that connection with my bio's).

sick, in-laws
