Lizzy's still sick.
Liz has had a fever off and on still all day (OK, only off due to the ibuprofen kicking in, but whatever). Then this evening she got way clingy and wanted to nurse. After nursing for only a couple minutes she stopped and put her head down and was crying something inaudible. I kept asking her what she was saying. Finally she looked at me and pointed to the boob she had been nursing on and said "That milk's all gone" with her bottom lip stuck way out and snot running out of her nose and tears streaming down her face. It was so sad. Then she pointed to the kitched and said "I need that milk in there". Geez. I've been trying lately (the last 2 weeks maybe) to redirect them when they wanted to nurse, and it caught on quickly until they got sick. I guess that little bit of reduction in nursing had a big enough impact on my supply to really make Lizzy sad :(
I really wanted to take the kids to the pool today but waited too late and then was too tired and L was too cranky to do it. I figured if I go when the kids are medicated enough to be feeling good (no fevers/ coughing, etc) first off the other people there won't think I'm crazy for taking 3 sick kids out in the cold rain to go swimming and second that there wouldn't be a lot of people in the pool anyway so it's not like I'd really be exposing them to others, right? Maybe tomorrow... crossing fingers, legs, toes that tomorrow will be better.
