Kaii (the artist formerly known as Cathy/Cathi/Kathii) was round her Dad's the other day, intending to introduce him to one of our current faves, 'Being Human'. She popped back home to get something, and remembered that she'd wanted me to give her hair a good brushing as it was really tangled. 'Don't be long, Mum, Dad's waiting for me to start watching the programme', she said as I wondered where to start on the dready bits that seemed to have appeared where she hadn't been brushing it properly, commenting that if she were Dylan the guinea pig I'd be going for the scissors about now. While we pondered the benefits of an undercut and I made desperate efforts with the detangler, Kaii reached for the 'phone and called her Dad, as she thought as she'd seen the episode before, he could start watching without her and she'd catch up as soon as her hair was sorted.

'Dad? I just rang to say you need to start Being Human...'

I don't think it helped that we both fell about laughing at this point...
